Paangu paara

If your answers to these questions are a point blank yes, then simply make your way towards Paangupaara just 13 kms from Punalur and Anchal towns close to Kollam. Paangupaara is exclusively meant for the adventurer in you. The path (in fact there is literally nothing of that sort in a civilized sense!) to Paangupaara which is a huge rock can be reached only through one side of the mountain. All the other three sides are too steep to approach. This obscure but beautiful place is located in the Vilakkupaara Village. On reaching the top one can have a breathtakingly beautiful view of Sahya mountain ranges. Surely, you are bound to experience that ‘on top o fthe world’ feeling ! Once this place was a thick forest area and dwelling places of wild animals can still be found here. Once has to be careful enough not to slip as the blowing wind here is too strong.
